DO YOU SHIP INTERNATIONALLY?

Yes! My work has been shipped worldwide. Please contact me if you are unable to select your country on checkout

 

HOW LONG AFTER I’VE PLACED MY ORDER DO YOU SHIP?

If you have bought one of my embroideries, it usually takes between 5 days – 2 weeks for me to create your piece before posting it. Details for how long each embroidery takes to create are written under the description box. Bobbins, Kits and other materials are posted within 3 days of your order.

Royal Mail 1st class - 2-4 business days.

Royal Mail 2nd class - 4-7 business days.

IS YOUR PACKAGING ECO-FRIENDLY?

All the shipping boxes are made from recycled material and can be recycled again. The tissue paper, washi tape and other materials I use are also recycled. Information labels are printed on recycled paper and I’ve also started using paper tape to secure my parcels. I usually use paper and twine to wrap bobbins and other materials with. These can be reused or hoarded if you can’t get yourself to throw away lovely packaging like me!

WHY IS THE SHIPPING SO EXPENSIVE?

I wish I had control over the prices but I don’t! I do not make a penny on P&P and the prices is purely determined on the weight, size of the parcel and the destination. My kits are my heaviest product hence why the prices reflect this.

WILL I HAVE TO PAY CUSTOM FEES IF I LIVE IN THE EU?

Post Brexit, anything being shipped from U.K to EU runs a chance of customs duty being applied. This is something out of my control.

DO I NEED TO PAY CUSTOM CHARGES?

Please understand it is the sole responsibility of the customer to pay custom fees. The Olde Sewing Room is not responsible to cover these fees under any circumstances nor obliged to undervalue an item sent out of the U.K. customs union to avoid import taxes.

The amount of a customs import fee is determined by the value of the item sent. Usually, items sent to the Europe/USA valued at below £100 are not charged import fees.

PLEASE NOTE SOME INTERNATIONAL ORDERS MAY BE SUBJECT TO THE RECEIVING COUNTRIES CUSTOMS FEES, DUTIES, EXCHANGE RATES, OR TAXES. THIS IS OUT OF MY CONTROL. PLEASE BE AWARE OF YOUR COUNTRIES IMPORT TAX/DUTIES PRIOR TO PLACING YOUR ORDER. We do our best to adhere to all international trade regulations, and any customs charges relating to your package will vary from country to country. We cannot guarantee what they will be in advance or if your package will have any at all UNLESS NOTED AS INCLUDED IN THE SHIPPING AT CHECKOUT.
