Summertime is synonymous with dragonflies to me. I watch them dance over the warmth of sun rays, poising over my freshly planted hydrangea. Their wings remind me of cold stained glass window panes in cathedrals.
Hand embroidered over 30 hours, my dragonfly embroidery is stitched using metallic threads and cotton threads. The twig is delicately placed and secured with metallic thread. Each wing is carefully stitched with brown, black and mink coloured fibres.
I use an off -white organic cotton fabric to stitch on but would be happy to stitch on a fabric or colour of your choice. Kindly contact me for custom made commissions.
All my pieces come carefully presented and packaged with brown paper, twine, pressed leaves and are finished with a wax seal.
