Many Moons Ago - a whimsical landscape of tall fur trees, a starry night and a magical moon.
I created this 7” hoop using cotton threads, individually cut metal threads and wires. A striking, deep emerald green cotton/linen fabric has been used to stitch on. The rich tones of the green set of the silver threads beautifully especially when seen from different angles. I have stitched a thin layer of felt underneath the individually cut metal threads for the moon. This gives a slight 3-d effect. The trees have been stitched using a black cotton thread.
